Happy Weekend

The weather today has felt just the opposite of this painting. But I'm still excited for the weekend and have lots I want to get done. Tonight we're going on a double movie date to the Dollar Theater to see Tangled and True Grit. Tomorrow we're touching up some painting jobs, packing my hospital bag, and figuring out how to install the car seat in the car. Any suggestions on what to take or not to take to the hospital?

Meghan, we are so excited for you guys! Definitely take some comfy clothes for after the delivery, an outfit for your newborn to come home in, and a few pairs of socks. Those hospital rooms can get chilly, plus it's just nice to have on socks to walk around in. Good luck and we can't wait to hear when it happens!

Sounds like a fun weekend.
I second the warm socks; the hospital ones are useless. I would also sneak in a power bar/ gatorade. (I know they say not to, but labor is hard and you may not be hungry, but might need a little energy - imagine exercising for 10+ hours with no nutrients! Yikes. Sorry - I am a hospital rebel, I guess :)
Call me if you'd like more advice on things to bring or not to bring that may or may not be unmentionable on blogs...:)

bring an ipad. it'll help pass the time. this way you can watch glee or the bachelor while you're pushing out the little one. i'll even hold it for you.

I would bring a pillow. Hospital pillows suck and there just aren't enough to go around.

don't take much.... they have everything there for you. take all your fave toiletries and of course the stuff to come home in and your camera. other than that, they have socks and stuff. i agree with the pillows and a couple snacks.
plus that you'll want lots of room to take home EVERYTHING from the hospital room.
p.s. dan's comment made me smile. :)

well, get your hair did and look really hot when you feel your contractions start getting real big bc then in your "just had a baby" pictures, everyone will say, "whoa, hot mama. making labor look easy." and of course, tell no one that you got all did up. just let them think you are THE champion of child birth.

Hand sanitizer, nursing bra, and two outfits for baby. Just in case. I always feel like I'm staying in a cheap hotel when I am at the hospital. I wipe things down and use tons of sanitizer!
