Dan got LASIK eye surgery last Friday. On Wednesday he had to go in for a pre-procedure test to qualify and he was told he was an excellent candidate. His vision was 20/800. It was pretty funny to watch when the nurse was standing 5 feet away from him holding two fingers up and he couldn't tell how many fingers. So needless to say...he was super excited to be able to have perfect vision without wearing his glasses or contacts! Here he is with his super cool sunglasses after he was approved.
This is Friday morning before the procedure. He wasn't nervous at all.
The procedure only took about 15 minutes, he got checked one more time, and then we were on our way home.
He could notice a difference right away and when he woke up on Saturday morning it was even better. He does have to wear these eye protectors to bed so he doesn't rub his eyes in his sleep. I'm not sure if he is more excited about being able to see or getting to wear this awesome eye protectors but he sure is cute!
He can't wait to play basketball, softball, and go camping and not have to worry about contacts. I'm personally thrilled that he will be able to get up in the night with a crying baby and not have to put his glasses on to see.

Yay Dan!!! That is so exciting! And I was wondering why there was tape on his face - hahaha! Cool eye-protectors!
