Happy Mother's Day

Meg:

I started getting migraine headaches when I was about eight years old. Whenever I was sick from one of these dreadful headaches my mom would sit by my bed late into the night rubbing my back or sitting with me in the bathroom holding my hair back for me while I was sick.

In elementary school and even middle school my mom would make a brown paper bag lunch for me always with a note, "Good luck on your math test" or "I love you", written on a napkin.

Whenever I needed a dress for homecoming or prom, my mom would spend countless hours with a younger and brattier version of myself designing my dresses, shopping for fabric in Philadelphia, looking through patterns at JoAnn Fabrics, and sewing them to perfection.

Throughout college I had my heart broken several times and my mom was always there for me no matter what time of day it was just to hear me cry on the other end of the phone. She always had words of encouragement and promised there was someone much better for me. I'm glad I listened to her.

Dan:

Rather than a particular story or event, what I remember most about my mom was that she was incredibly supportive of me pursuing and developing my talents.

With music, she pushed to have me learn the piano. Later she let me get a drum set and a guitar and got me lessons for each.

Then with sports she helped me with golf lessons and always sent me to summer camps for basketball or whichever sport I was invested in at the time.

She also set me up with art lessons where I did pottery and learned to draw better.

Whatever the talent, she was always supportive and helped to push and make sure that I had opportunities to do, and be whatever and whoever I wanted to be.

For these things we will love you forever! Thanks Moms!
