SURPRISE...Happy Birthday Dan!

Dan's 25th birthday was on Friday. I decided to throw him a surprise birthday party which ended up causing quite a bit of stress trying to scheme and lie and make him believe we were really doing something else. I don't think I'll throw another surprise party for a long time. Dan had no clue of what was going. We were supposedly driving to a restaurant to meet some friends for dinner but I asked if we could stop at our house quickly to change my shoes. Because Dan is so sweet he went along with it but in his mind was wondering why I was all of sudden being so high-maintenance. When we pulled up at our house and stopped by the mailbox and told me to hurry I panicked. I needed him to come inside with me and he had no intention of doing so. I suggested that he just park and come in with me. This made him suspicious and as we walked to the door he asked how many people were inside waiting for him! :) So he was 98% surprised and had a great time. He loved his Yankee cake too which made my attempt at cake decorating well worth it. Happy Birthday Dan and thanks to our friends for celebrating with us!
