Furniture & Accessory Sale
So I am working at a new Interior Design firm, Designit Interiors, that was formerly a home decor retail store, Design It Boutique. When the business was purchased we also inherited their inventory. We are selling everything at HUGELY discounted prices. The accessories are all under $20 and the furniture is high end, beautiful, and great quality being sold at 40% off. Check out the listings here and here. Please tell your friends and family in Utah County so we can get all this sold! Thanks!

Good Advice
I read this in the December '09 issue of Real Simple and LOVED it:
Fashion Fades; Style is Eternal
Not only do you not have to wear torn jeans, a barely-there tank top, and a fedora, but you probably shouldn't. The point of fashion is to indulge briefly in something fun. The point of style is to have one- whether that's a sheath and spike heels or slouchy jeans and your husband's t-shirt- and it should last you a lifetime. All you have to do is think you deserve to look and feel your best and spend some time figuring out how to do it. Don't know? Find a woman whose style you admire and ask for a little advice.

We might be crazy
So we've been saving up our pennies and also asked Santa(s) for money so we could get a new TV. Saturday was finally the big day after Dan researched, researched, and researched some more and we bought our TV. The thing that made this whole process tricky is that the condo we moved into has this "niche" built in above the fireplace for a TV. The cable and power hookups are there so the TV kind of has to go there. But Dan didn't like this because it limited us to a 40" although there were a few 42" ones that would fit. After getting some great ideas from his dad and a super handy-man friend, Dan decided he could get a bigger TV and would build his own mount. Here are the pictures documenting the four hour long process to get our 75 pound 50" TV up in our "niche" which may or may not be weighed down by two cinder blocks and a sand bag. I really am praying we don't wake up to find the TV in crumbles on the floor :/

Happy New Year
It feels like 2009 flew by! We were able to travel a lot this past year for weddings, reunions, and a vacation. We were in California, Florida, Delaware, Colorado, Connecticut, and Mexico. Dan graduated and got a great job offer to start his career. I got a job again as an Interior Designer! (WAHOO!!!) We feel so blessed and are excited about this new phase of (grown-up) life. In 2010 I hope to get in better shape (like everyone else), read more, and cook more. But most of all I hope the year will be full of happy memories with family and friends, old and new. Welcome in 2010!
