Mexico and Happy Thanksgiving

Our cruise was so fun and relaxing! We really enjoyed our stops in Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta. We ate a lot of delicious food, layed by the pool, went parasailing, went snorkeling, watched great shows, and ate some more delicious food. We are happy to be home though after being gone 8 days. Now it is time for he holidays! Happy Thanksgiving!

Christmas is coming....

and I have been online shopping because work is super slow today. Here are some good ideas for gifts under $11.10 this holiday season.

P.S.- I just came across this calendar and loved it too much to not include even though it is $28.00. This would make me happy every day all year long.

Setting Sail

We leave on our cruise next week and we can't wait. There should be lots of sunshine, food, ping-pong, mini-golf, shows, and excursions. We'll be sure to take lots of pictures.

A Beautiful Thing

When Meg and I were married . . . all she knew about the Yankees was that they were in New York. As the season progressed, she slowly learned the names of the players. Then, she started to learn their nicknames, and some interesting things that each of them can do. Now, her conversion is complete. She watched each post season game with me and shouted at the TV to urge on "Melky," "Tex," "The Captain," and every other member of the team. She loves saying "Hip Hip Jorge!" when Jorge Posada gets a hit. She gets excited and jumps around when they have a walk off hit because she knows that Burnett will be sneaking out of the dugout to hit someone with a pie in the face. She loves Joe Girardi and thinks that he should run for mayor of New York because he's clean cut and a great leader. She's even considering letting me use the name Jeter for the middle name of one of our children. I love my wife very much, and the fact that she is now a full fledged Yankee fan makes me love her even more.

Fall Festivities with Family

Last weekend we got to hang out with my family in Grand Junction. We carved pumpkins, watched the BYU football game, and Dan got to go golfing with my brother Brian. It was a great weekend and we LOVE family time!

(thanks for the pictures ashley and brian)

Thought of the Day

With the holidays approaching so does the season for giving.

"May we from our abundance share."

(from this LDS Church Hymn)

Yankees

It was part of our marriage agreement that I would be a Yankees fan. And this hasn't been a bad season at all. They are one win away from winning the World Series. My favorite things about the team are:
1- AJ Burnett throwing a pie in the face of the player who gets a walk off homerun
2- Matsui's silky long hair, I think he secretly wants to be a hair model
3- Nick Swisher's "swish-hawk" haircut and his backward somersault over the catcher at homeplate after hitting a homerun
4- Joe Girardi's interviews, he could be a politician
5- CC's teddybearness
6- Teixeira's wingspan
7- Jeter's smile
8- A-Rod's power
9- Hip Hip Jorge
10- Mariano's composure

GO YANKEES!
