Blustery Day

It was so windy today and my sister started singing the song from Winnie the Pooh & The Blustery Day. I love all the movies I watched as a child and I think I'm going to have Dan watch this one too. I just know he'll love it as much as he loved The Sound of Music. (wink)

Seed Supply Company

I don't usually shop at Wal-Mart but ran in there tonight to look at their fabric and came across a clothing line called Seed Supply Company. They had yoga-ish pants, tank tops, and crew & v-neck tees all made of organic cotton. They were all under $10 dollars too. I was delightfully surprised and got two new cute tees for this spring. I suggest checking it out.

Next Fieldtrip is...

to The Sweet Tooth Fairy because I love all things sweet...especially cupcakes. I haven't actually been to their shop yet but I have had one of their cupcakes. It was D-licious and the packaging was very pretty. If you are in Utah County check them out.

Musical Sunday

I used to watch musicals with my roomates on Sunday afternoons and I decided this is a tradition I want to carry on with my family. A week ago Dan and I had "Musical Sunday" and he described it as demasculating although he stayed up to finish watching The Sound of Music after I had gone to bed. Both The Sound of Music and Mary Poppins were on tv and I was so excited. Am I the only one that grew up watching these movies? Any suggestions on great musicals to watch?

Time Flies By

This week a year ago was when Dan proposed. I loved being engaged. I love being married even more though. Dan is so sweet and fun. He is my very favorite.

Congratulations Erin

This is my little sister Erin. She lives 230 steps away from me. She is going to school for Graphic Design and I went to school for Interior Design. We want to start a business together one day creating pretty things. I'm so proud of her today because she just found out she got into the Bachelor of Fine Arts program at BYU for Graphic Design which only a handful of people get into each year. I'm so proud of her...she is so creative, hilarious, strong, and beautiful. Love you Erin and Congratulations again!!!!

Happy Birthday Ashley

My baby sister is 18 today! I can't believe it.... Happy Birthday Ashley! (And I think Olivia is so cute and funny...I really want to play with her.)

Big Mouth

Dan told me today that his mouth is "more delicate" than mine. This made me laugh really hard.

Orange Avalanche

At the grocery store tonight I picked up an orange and started an avalanche. Yeah I was that person standing there with fruit falling down to my feet and rolling down the aisle. It was pretty funny.

New Sewing Machine

I'm looking into getting a sewing machine so that I can do some projects I have in mind. This one made by Singer looks good for beginners. Any recommendations?

Happy Easter

Easter is a celebration for me of new life. I love to watch everything blooming around me. I also love that Easter means we will all live again and be reunited with lost loved ones. Easter is a time of hope and promise and I am grateful for it. Happy Easter everyone and have a beautiful day!

Dream House

Last weekend we watched Marley & Me and loved it. It partially made me want to have a dog. Especially when Marley was a puppy he was so cute. The movie also portrayed different stages of married/family life which was very interesting to me. At one point I said to Dan "let's just hit pause at the stage of life that we are in because it is so easy right now and probably won't ever be this easy again once we move forward." Possibly my most favorite part of the movie though was the stone house. That is all I will say without giving anything away. Maybe one day we'll live in a stone house and have a dog...named Starjska.

Shabby Apple

I've been looking for an Easter Dress and remembered that a friend (Thanks Julia) told me about Shabby Apple back in November so I took a look at their website again. I loved this dress and especially the shoes!

Man Cooking

This is Dan making dinner the other night... he is tenderizing the meat. Believe it or not he is the better cook. I thought this was hilarious so I thought I would share.

Cambria Cove

A magazine came in the mail yesterday called Cambria Cove and I loved it. I didn't order it and hadn't even heard of it but I'm glad it found me. It was full of "unexpected delights" like this personalized embosser. Products include stationary, frames, jewelry, journals, chocolates, soaps, and more.

Happy April Fools Day

Fun in the Sun...and Wind

I had a fun weekend getaway to visit my friend Kaitlyn. She was such a good hostess and even got me a "Welcome To My House Present", delicious and organic Strawberry Lemonade. She also showed me golden fire hydrants in Laguna Beach along with three Lamborghinis (I'll admit I had to look up how to spell this). We enjoyed relaxing on the beach too although it was a bit windy and we didn't last long in just our bathing suits. I took Dan's hoodie with me so he could keep me warm while I was away. I missed him but was glad we got to have some Girl/Guy time. He stayed up as late as he wanted eating whatever he wanted and ended up with a belly ache on Sunday morning. He was so sweet though to clean the house and make dinner before I got home. I'm a lucky girl.
