Sushi, Beauty and the Beast, and Fall
Anyone that knows Dan knows that he loves sushi. I can eat one roll and some edamame and I'll call it good but Dan will eat five rolls easily. He loves the stuff! One night last week we decided to try out a sushi kit that Dan had and we made our own. We used salmon, crab, avacado, cream cheese, and of course rice and nori (the seaweed).
On Friday night we went to see a production of Beauty and the Beast. My sister Erin came with us and we all had a great time. It was hard for us to not sing along, Dan included. We decided he would make a fantastic Gaston, not that he is at all like him...but he would enjoy playing the part and singing his songs! (sorry picture to document this event)
Happy Fall! Yesterday was the autumnal equinox so it is officially fall. It even felt like it yesterday. It was a little chilly and cloudy...but it doesn't compare to east coast fall. I really liked this sketch of an autumn street in the Nordstrom catalog. It made me miss DC.

1 Month of Married Life
Dan and I have been married for one month. He is the best- he closes the closet doors before we got to bed so I won't get scared, he helps me look for jobs, he takes turns with me making dinner, he lets me play Halo with him even though I am awful at it, he makes me laugh, he gives me a little kiss after we say our prayers, he tries to teach me Spanish, and he always asks if there is anything he can do for me. Like I said- he is the best.

Weekend Fun...and Trouble
Dan and I went to the Utah State Fair on Friday night with his sister Kim and had a blast...we ate everything we shouldn't have- sno cones, corn dogs, roasted almonds, fried peanut butter and jelly, fried snickers, french fries, coke, carmel apples and cotton candy!
Kim was nice enough to take a picture of us while we rode The Pharoah's Fury!
And we made it back to Provo after a fun drive home but managed to run out of gas only a couple blocks from home. Our friends JD and Jaime came to the rescue!

Going to the Fair!
So we're going to the fair tonight and I'm so excited. We are celebrating Dan getting his application in for the Advertising program and a fantastic week of interviews and housework for me! Corn dogs, cotton candy, and funnel cakes are on the menu...oh and Dan keeps accidentally telling people we're going to the State Farm...haha he is so funny!

King Cones
For our date on Friday night we went to Macey's grocery store and ordered two King Cones for $1.25 each. Dan told me this was the biggest icecream cone I would ever eat but that still didn't prepare me for the size of these cones. They were easily a foot high when we started!

August was a whirlwind...
1- We got married on August 16th! Whoo-hoo!

2- We enjoyed staying at the Marriott Ocean Club, drinking daiquiries, yummy Dutch pancakes, and watching the sunset on our honeymoon in Aruba.
3- We moved across the country with our PACKED cars into the beautiful sunset!
4- We moved into our awesome apartment with the help of strong friends especially when we moved our new sofa and loveseat into our house from the bed of the truck, over two fences, and in through a window!
